Introduction

The Earth Echo short film contest organized by Centre Lex Environer. This competition aims to raise environmental awareness through the art forms of short films. We invite filmmakers to share their unique perspectives on contemporary environmental issues, from climate change and pollution to conservation and sustainability. By showcasing compelling visual narratives, Earth Echo seeks to educate, inspire action, and drive positive change.

Theme

We seek films that highlight the intricate relationships between humans and the natural world, addressing pressing environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, deforestation, and wildlife conservation. Films should aim to educate, inspire, and motivate audiences to adopt sustainable practices and advocate for environmental protection.


Team Composition

  • A team can consist of a maximum of 5 members.
  • Solo participation is allowed
  • Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music, trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights.


  • Films must clearly address an environmental issue or topic. No explicit violence, nudity, or offensive material. Films should be suitable for a general audience.


  • Films should be submitted via Google Forms. Include a completed submission form with details about the filmmaker and the film.


  • All submissions must be received by 23.06.24.


Judging Criteria

  • Environmental Content: Whether the film’s environmental message is accurate and educational.


  • Originality and Creativity: The uniqueness of the plot, structure, and pacing.


  • Technical Quality: Cinematography, editing, sound design, and production design.


  • Audience Engagement: The effectiveness of the message and the film’s ability to inspire action.


  • Emotional Impact: The film’s ability to create an emotional response in viewers.
